In 2022, the then Utah County Clerk provided the ballot-order data to an independent research team. They analyzed the side of RCV/IRV that most people don't see: how were different ballots counted, how many were discarded due to voter confusion, and what were the anomalies (such as non-monotonicity: the ability to hurt your preferred candidate by ranking them first or vice versa, help your lesser-preferred candidate to win by ranking them lower) that voters never see.
