Verifiable Elections

Heritage Foundation Ranks Utah 35 of 50 in Election Security. Read the results of an in-depth election analysis conducted by the Heritage Foundation on the security of our elections in Utah, based on the laws. Utah has a long way to go, most especially due to our use of universal mail-in ballots. Absentee ballots should always be available for those who need them. But making primarily in-person elections illegal is wrong. Utah should restore the OPTION of conducting in-person elections instead of making cities and counties who would like that level of transparency and citizen verification guilty of a crime.

In 2022, the Utah Legislature required the Office of the Legislative Auditor General to conduct an audit of Utah's Election Systems. The entire report can be read here.

The report indicated several areas where election security could be improved. Utah Election Integrity encourages our Utah legislators to continue to focus on improving our elections.
